Connecticut Family Law Attorney Focusing on Divorce

If you are considering filing for divorce, you want a lawyer who will help you resolve complicated issues that will have a long-term effect on you and your family.

At the law firm of John C. Valliere, Attorney at Law, I practice in family law. I am a certified mediator, and I am dedicated to helping families resolve their divorces through a nonthreatening legal process. Contact me today to schedule a free consultation if you have questions about the divorce process or need representation.

Hands-on Legal Approach

I tailor my approach to each of my client’s needs while remaining hands-on throughout the legal process. I have a background in drafting the paperwork that is necessary to file for a divorce. My experience representing clients in divorces has helped me effectively negotiate complicated issues, such as:

Throughout the legal process, I make my best effort to return your calls within one business day and regularly keep you updated on any changes in your case. As a team, we can work together to try to resolve your divorce through a non-combative process. However, if you are facing a battle and settlement appears unlikely, I can use my family court experience to represent your legal interests.

Alternative Dispute Resolution Options

As a certified mediator, I have a background working with both sides of a divorce as a neutral third party. I help couples address important issues that will affect their divorce. In a private setting, we can discuss how you can resolve child custody, property division and other complicated issues that stem from your divorce.

I also can work with clients in collaborative divorce. Through a series of meetings, I represent my client and meet with the other party, who is also represented by a lawyer. As a group, we meet to discuss contested issues that need to be resolved as an alternative to divorce court.

If together as a couple you have already worked out all the issues and come to an agreement, I can help you draft the final agreement and file it with the courts to help you obtain a final divorce decree. I offer a flat fee uncontested divorce option to help couples finalize the dissolution of their marriage.
